Is Daypro safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Use of Daypro during first three months of pregnancy can increase the risk of premature child birth or closure of ductus arteriosus. Avoid use of Daypro when you are pregnant. Well, there are no sufficient studies available for use of Daypro during pregnancy. Data collected from observational studies regarding possible risks of Daypro to embryo in first three months or second trimester of pregnancy is indecisive.

Daypro Interactions with Cidofovir/Nephrotoxic Agents

Daypro- Dosage and treatments for overdose

Daypro overdose and its treatment

To manage patients with Daypro overdose supportive care and symptomatic care is given. There are no known antidotes. The treatment includes activated charcoal or emesis or osmotic cathartic especially in symptomatic patients observed within 4 hours of ingestion or in cases of large over dosage. Forced diuresis, hemodialysis, urine alkalinization or hemoperfusion cannot be helpful because of high protein covering.
